December 1, 2021 – ALROSA has won Gold in the ranking of best Russian employers compiled by Forbes jointly with KPMG.

The ranking scores companies’ quantitative performance indicators on 18 metrics grouped into three categories: Employees & Society, Environment and Corporate Governance. ALROSA was awarded Platinum status in the last two categories.

Forbes publishes its ranking since 2019, and in 2021 is focused on assessing corporate ESG practices. The ranking covered over 100 employers, split into four groups - Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze - depending on their scores. Gold status was awarded to companies that scored between 55 and 70 points. The decisions were taken by members of an expert jury who were able to raise or reduce the status of each company by one level in an anonymous vote.

Every year, ALROSA runs numerous social and environmental initiatives in the regions where it operates. In 2020, the company maintained its industry leadership on size of ESG investment, which represented around 8% of revenue. ALROSA continues to create jobs and provide its workers with competitive salaries and benefits.

The ALROSA Group 2021-2025 Sustainability Programme approved in 2021 enshrined the company’s approach to sustainable development, together with its medium-term objectives and key performance indicators on five strategic priorities: development of human capital, health & safety, environmental, development of regions of presence, and governance & business ethics.
